Hat; Primark. Cross Necklace; *gift*. Earrings; River Island. Top; Hollister. Shorts; Primark.
Okay, this is the crappest first outfit post probably in blog history, but it'll have to do.
I popped home from uni for the Easter weekend. The boyfriend was nice enough to drive me all the way to mine before driving all the way to his. That's crossing three counties. Impressive.
Anyhoo, this outfit was kind of a waste as I didn't end up leaving the house in the end (hence why there aren't any shoe pictures). It was sad but thought it would be a good idea to take pictures while I had my camera charged.
I dressed a little too tomboy-ish I thought, so dressed it up with the earrings and beret. Think they add just the right amount of girlish glam to an otherwise extremely casual outfit.
I have a bit of a love affair with Hollister and River Island at the moment. Personally, I think I spend too much time on the hipster blogs on Tumblr but hey.
Now I'm not a skinny girl, as you can probably see from the pics, so the stuff from the men's section of Hollister fit me better. The great thing about it being such a hipster shop is that even the men's tops are slightly fitted so I don't get swamped. I'm normally not a fan of such high necklines but part of what I love about Hollister is the quality.
This top is one of the softest I've ever owned, I love it. It's been through the wash like 5 times (seriously, I wear it all the time) and the quality hasn't been impaired at all. So in terms of the neckline, it doesn't bother me at all because I'm snuggling it all the time. As for the other Hollister tops I own, they're all polo necks so they're fine.
Thank God for eBay, that's all I can say, otherwise I wouldn't be able to feed my addiction. The clothes are far too much without them being on sale or second-hand. This top cost me £8.25 in their sale. Bargain!
As for the shorts, they're so cute and comfy (thumbs up Primark!) and lose on the leg which, as a girl with bigger thighs, is a life saver. The colour is so perfect for the change in season; not quite a summery colour but not too dull like the winter clothes. The gold plaited belt that comes with it really adds a certain amount of jazz to any outfit. And they're a steal at £10.
So, that's it from my first outfit post! Tell me how you thought I did in the comments below. All feedback is appreciated. Was it too long or too short? Too much detail or too little? Let me know.
Also, are there any life issues you want me to tackle? Any tips for how to dress up this outfit or just want to share your style tips? Again, let me know and I will address any questions or queries in my next post.
Adios chicas y chicos!
