My Week: We're lovin' it, lovin' it, lovin' it!

So how are you all enjoying the sun? If you read my previous "50 Facts" post, you'll know I'm not a major fan of being hot so I'm suffering a bit, but you can't complain too much, eh? It's still absolutely beautiful out there and it's not too bad so long as you have a cold drink and a cool breeze!

Now this is just a quick post as I don't have enough material (or enough time for that matter) to do a complete review of any of the following, but I wanted to do a quick update on certain things that I was loving last week.

Heart Attack - Demi Lovato
No idea why, but I'm completely obsessed with this song! It's such a feel good, girl power anthem, the likes of which we haven't had in a while and I've found myself wailing along to it at the top of my voice on more than one occasion. From the safety of my room, you'll be happy to know.
I think another reason I'm drawn to Demi's power song is it reminds me of those heady days early into my relationship where I was absolutely terrified of falling in love and leaving myself completely open and vulnerable to another person. Obviously, now I'm there I would never have it any other way, but the song was very easy to relate to.

P.L.U.R
I'm very into researching things and something that I've been fascinated by for a while is the culture surrounding EDM (Electronic Dance Music). Through looking into the lifestyles, sometimes bizarre fashion choices and the upbeat music of these "ravers", I discovered that at the heart of everything is the creed of P.L.U.R. For the uninitiated like me, that's Peace, Love, Unity and Respect. I found that beautiful. There's not nearly enough of that in the world today.
I called their fashions bizarre earlier but it was by no means an insult. I absolutely love everything, that I've seen so far, in this culture and that fact that acceptance is at their very core, it's definitely a genre I could see myself getting extremely involved with in the future. Not to mention, the music is amazing!

Twinings Blueberry and Apple Tea
A friend I met online recommended that I try fruit teas a while ago. I somehow managed to get a sample of this and decided that it was the only fruit tea I would ever need in my life! It's sweet without being overbearing and is refreshing hot or cold. Now I'm thinking about it, I'm going to have to go and make myself one. I'm not very good at describing tastes so I'll just say it's delicious and definitely well worth a taste! You'll be hooked!

Costa's Orange and Raspberry Cooler
This is another one I wish I could describe to you. I don't think I could ever do it justice. It's so tangy and refreshing and the absolute perfect Summer drink. I find myself picking one up every time I pass a Costa. They are irresistible!

Caffé Latte Caramel Iced Coffee
I got this as a free sample and I'm so glad I was brave enough to try it! I've never been much of a coffee person, only recently discovering that I like lattes, so trying cold coffee was a major step for me. But goodness me, was it worth it! It's thick, creamy, ice cold and oh-so perfect. The small cups are definitely enough though as they are quite filling. Probably a good thing because of the caffeine as well.

Blurred Lines - Robin Thicke
This is a song that needs no introduction. Everyone has heard this song and everyone, that I've come across at least, loves this song. It's amazing to dance to, to sing to, to simply nod your head to. I can't say anything about this song that hasn't been said already, so I'll simply say well done Mr Thicke, well done indeed.

The 20/20 Experience - Justin Timberlake
My new chill out album of the moment. I'm listening to it right now in fact. Justin Timberlake has the type of voice that would be able to lure you off the edge of a cliff. Soulful, smooth and downright seductive, I haven't come across a single bad song on this album. JT knew what he was doing a decade ago and he still knows how to do it now.

That's all for my quick update. Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine!

Ta-ra for now!
