Life: My Big, Wide, Workin' World

So I'm a writer who doesn't like bugs or loud noises. That has no relevance to anything. Hi.

I don't know how good of a writer I am, but I like to think that I am good enough for people to buy my ramblings and/or perfectly constructed pieces of literary art.

Even after three years on a Creative Writing course, I've come away still rather confused as to how exactly one breaks into the industry.

At the time of writing this, I've sent off for two writing jobs and one poetry competition. Confidence has always been a big problem for me, it's just something that I wasn't born with and I have difficulty switching it on and off sometimes.

Pretty much everything in this world is only ever done well with confidence.

Becoming a writer and actually being paid for my writing was always going to be difficult but I'm finding it even harder considering I don't even know where to start.

What can I apply for?

What can't I apply for?

I can pretty much write anything I set my mind to, for this blessing I am extremely grateful, but where an earth do I start?!

If any budding writers out there, or even established ones, have any tips of tricks, that would be great. I spend my life trolling the internet trying to find answers, but only ever seem to come away with more questions.

One thing that I do know is that I love writing, and writing loves me. I can honestly say there's nothing else I would rather do as a career than write.
