Sweater Weather Tag

Hello hello!

How are we all doing? Keeping warm? I think it's safe to say that Summer is well behind us and we're well and truly into Autumn. The leaves are falling, the wind is violent and there's the ever present threat of rain hanging over our heads. Ah, the British seasons.

In keeping with the season, I decided to do an Autumn, or Fall if you're from the US, tag. It's been doing the rounds on Youtube and is adorably called Sweater Weather (as you can no doubt guess from the title). There are several variations around but I got my list of questions from Ingrid a.k.a Miss Glamorazzi as I really liked the variation. You can check out her video here. And without further ado, here is my Sweater Weather post!

 1. Favorite candle scent?
Well at the moment, I'm still burning a summer candle that I talk about it in my October Favourites post, but I'm determined to get an Autumn candle before the season is over so watch this space!

2. Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
Love them all but you can't beat a hot chocolate when it gets cold.

3. What's the best fall memory you have?

My mother and I took a trip to Malta a few years ago in November. We thought it would still be relatively warm... Oh how wrong we were! It was very chilly and it rained and stormed almost every day that we were there, but we still had a fantastic time! We resiliently took an open topped tour bus in the pouring rain (see picture for proof!) and went shopping and watched the most beautiful electrical storms from our hotel room. It was fantastic fun.

4. Which makeup trend do you prefer: dark lips or winged eyeliner?

Dark lips, definitely. Sometimes eyeliner can be far too subtle unless you're looking out for it. If you've got a deep, warm red or rich, dark plum on your lips it makes much more of a statement.

5. Best fragrance for fall?

I am currently loving something I absolutely cannot afford!! I've got a couple of samples of Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet which I have totally fallen in love with. It's got a zesty and slightly woody scent. I don't know what it is, but I really feel like I need to be wearing this through the cold months. It's beautiful, but at £85 a bottle, a little out of my budget.

6. Favourite Thanksgiving food?
Well, we're not American so we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but my favourite Autumn comfort food is Madeira cake. A couple of little slices with tea in front of the telly... So obsessed.

7. What is autumn weather like where you live?
I live just outside of London and the Autumns here are very cold (low teens Celsius), very windy and very rainy!

8. Most worn sweater?

I'll be honest, I've been wearing another jumper all summer, but this was a staple piece last year and it's what I'll be wearing all Autumn and Winter! I got this as a Christmas present and even though it's got a hood, it's far too thin to be a hoodie but perfect to layer as a jumper. It's so adorable because of the ears and the owl face and.. I just love it! It's so so cute!

9. Must-have nail polish this fall?

My must have nail polish is definitely this gorgeous Barry M polish in the colour Blueberry. This has been a favourite polish of mine for ages now but it is definitely a winter essential, I even featured it in my Winter Nails post last year. I think I love it simply because it just looks cold. Or is that just me? It reminds me of crisp, cold mornings, you know the ones where there isn't a cloud in the sky but you know it's absolutely freezing out?

10. Football games or jumping in leaf piles?
Neither! You'll find me under a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate, scrolling through Tumblr.

11. Skinny jeans or leggings?
Leggings leggings! Forever and always <3

12. Combat boots or Uggs?
I think combat boots personally. Ugg type boots are really comfy but I find they're not really that practical in the rain or snow.

13. Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
No idea. I don't think I like pumpkin though...

14. Favorite fall TV show?
Frozen Planet. Without a doubt. Call me weird, but there's something about shows about snow and winter and coldness that makes me feel warmer. It's almost like my brain is going "yeah, you're cold, but you could be there and you'd be 100% worse!" I love them. Also Frozen Planet is great because it's narrated by David Attenborough who has the most relaxing voice ever.

15. What song really gets you into the fall spirit?
My favourite song since I was six is Kiss From A Rose by Seal. I have no idea why but it always makes a comeback onto my playlist around this time of year. Go figure.

Right, that's it for my Sweater Weather tag. I hope it's been fun to read or at least a good distraction from the cold! I'll catch you next time. I need to go, my hands are freezing!!

Byes!

    1. Aww Michelle thank you! That's really lovely for you to say. I do worry a bit simply because you interact with your readers so much, I don't want to seem over enthusiastic, but you really are one of my favourite bloggers and are super nice (which helps!) so I enjoy commenting and interacting with you. You're a bit of an inspiration ^_^ Thanks again Mish! Xo
