How's it going guys?
It was a blustery start to the week but things seem to have properly calmed down now. Nothing much happened here at all. The extent of the storm was our recycling bin ending up in the bushes. Was there any damage where you are?
I took a trip on Wednesday to the Natural History Museum in London with my mum, mainly to visit the Darwin Exhibition. It's such a beautiful old building, not to mention the exhibits are just fascinating. If you have the chance to visit I would definitely recommend it. Preferably not during the half term as there are a lot less children around, as you can imagine. If you have been before, what part is your favourite? I just love the dinosaurs. We didn't get a chance to look around them this time unfortunately but I'm planning to go back in a few weeks so hopefully get a chance then!
We were pretty hungry by the time we got out so decided to take a bus up to Westfield Shepherd's Bush to grab a bite in the Food Court. Of course we couldn't not have a quick browse around the shops, could we? Luckily, a lot of the mid-season sales are still on and we managed to pick up a couple of bargains in the Kiko Make Up Milano store.
I picked up these two lipsticks which are absolutely beautiful (excuse the quality of the pictures). I've been after a plum and a nude colour and these two are perfect for me! The plum (914) has a lovely pinky sheen to it which suits me fine as I'm still not quite confident enough to go full vamp with my make up yet (very soon!).
The nude (918) is a lovely shade with a slight shiny hint of pink. I'm not big on matte colours so the fact that they shine a bit is fine. I wore the nude colour from the moment I bought it and it's brilliant to wear. It glides on almost effortlessly and it can be built up a bit if necessary.
I'm currently in the process of experimenting more with my make up and gaining more knowledge about cosmetics in general, hence why they haven't got a proper review, so I hope this little taster is enough. If you're by a Kiko store or happen to pass one, definitely go and have a look at what they have while the sale is still on. These lipsticks were only £3.90 each and they're amazing! My mum picked up a really nice mascara for the same price. Definitely worth it.
Anyway my loves, it's been good catching up. Let me know what your cosmetic essentials are in the comments below, it would be great to talk to others about it!
Until next time!

ooh this lipstick looks AMAZING on you!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Kiko cosmetics before, I'm officially intrigued.

Awh thanks love! I'm not too sure where their other stores are but there's definitely one in Westfield and I think you might be able to buy online but not too sure. Definitely worth checking out :) xo
